General Radio Operator License (GROL)
A General Radiotelephone Operator License (PG), or better known as GROL, is required to adjust, maintain, or internally repair FCC licensed radiotelephone transmitters in the aviation, maritime, and international fixed public radio services.
The AET outlines the fundamentals of the avionics technician community. Every avionics technician should know these fundamentals. Among them are the basics of direct and alternating current, circuit theory of operation, troubleshooting, calculations and measurements, resistors, inductors, capacitors and transformers, analog circuits, power supply circuits and digital logic.
A licensed technical qualification for carrying out aircraft maintenance. AMTs inspect and perform or supervise maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs and alteration of aircraft and aircraft systems.
Thanks to a shortage of technicians and the complexity of aircraft systems, licensed avionics specialists who can master the intricacies of the aircraft and work with A&Ps are in high demand and receive considerably higher incomes.
The FOE course will cover the standardized industry terminology, different types of FODs, the latest tool and hardware accountability methods, reporting and investigating FOD events. The FOE course will increase employee knowledge and encourage all levels to become active in their FOE programs and eliminate FOD events.
The Radio Communication System Endorsement covers the fundamental knowledge of airborne radio communication standards. These include amplitude modulated, frequency modulated transmitters and receivers, Satellite radio and communication, antenna design, as well as operational checks, fault isolation and special test equipment, among others.
